Private Percival Joseph Dellar (Service No:V359238) served in the ACMF with 21 Battalion VDC from 28 May 1942 to 17 September 1945.
Born in Rainbow, Victoria in 1906, Percy was second of nine children of Richard James Dellar (b1865 in Bochara, Victoria) and Marion Esther Johns (b1883 in Warracknabeal, Victoria). Richard was a Farmer at Kurnbrunin nr Rainbow in 1904 when he and Marion married in Jeparit. They lived at Kurnbrunin and Danyo where they raised their family and Richard was a Farmer until his death in 1935.
Percy worked in Danyo as a Farm Labourer and Farmer and in 1932 in Jeparit married Edith Mary Pitt (b1913 in Jeparit, Victoria). In 1942 Percy and Edith were in Mildura where Percy was working as a Labourer when he enlisted in the ACMF. By 1949 they were settled in Buronga, NSW where they raised their family and Percy was a Labourer. Percy died in 1976 and Edith in 2001.
