From Imperial Camel Corps Re-enactment Troop - Perth
We would like to remember Captain Henry Martin Myatt of Harvey, Western Australia. Henry Martin Myatt was born in Horsham, England in June 1890. He enlisted as 10th Light Horse 16th reinforcements as Second Lieutenant on 25th October 1915. On the 2nd November 1916 he was transferred to 4th ANZAC Camel Battalion as Troop Officer. He was later promoted to Captain of 17th Company Imperial Camel Corps. Henry was WIA in Egypt on 27th of November 1917. He sustained a severe gunshot wound which fractured his right femur. He later had his right leg amputated due to the injury. He returned to Australia on the 11th of October 1919 and was discharged from service on the 12th of June 1920.
