Biography contributed by John Dall
Peter Yule was educated at Kirkcaldy's West School and later was employed by a prestigious furniture manufacturer McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland as a French Polisher. After his father, also Peter, died and sometime around the middle of 1911 Peter decided to emigrate to Australia settling in the Melbourne area. Shortly after the outbreak of WW1 he enlisted into the Australian Army and formed part of 11th Reinforcements with 3AIF. He was sorely missed by his mother and siblings especially my grandmother who was one of his sisters and whom on her passing provided myself with the photos that are published in his memory. RIP Peter and thankyou for your service in attempting to bring peace to this world.
