Son of Henry Quinton and Agnes Quinton nee Spiers of Hugh Street, Echuca, Victoria.
Brother of David Allan Quinton who was killed in action at Bullecort on 11 April 1917 and has no known grave. His name appears on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
Commenced return to Australia on 23 March 1919 aboard HT Cluny Castle disembarking on 22 May 1919
