"...1627 Private Russell White, 30th Battalion, of Marlee, via Wingham, NSW. Pte White was a station hand before enlisting on 2 May 1915. He embarked from Sydney on 9 November 1915 on HMAT Beltana with the 1st Reinforcements. He was killed in action at Fromelles on 20 July 1916. His brother, 2522 Tpr Frederick White, of the Anzac Provost Corps, died on 21 May 1918 of wounds received in France." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
