Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of George WALKER, Cootamundra, NSW

Following many months of sufferng, one of our most respected citizens, in the person of Mr. Frank Herbert Walker, passed away in the Narrogin District Hospital on the night, of  April the 8th. The late Mr. Walker, who was but 56 years of age, came to this district in the early pioneering days, when he became, a partner to the late Mr. R.G. Miller, of  "Allendale."" This partnership was dissolved after Mr. Walker returned from the Great War 1914-l8, during which he was on active service with the 11th Battalion
for nearly four years.
Deceased then took up the property at Traysurin, where he made the home known as "Mitcham." Here he resided with his wife and four children until his untimely death. There  was a very large gathering of friends and comrades to pay their last respects at the graveside. The Revd. Bellewes. of Kondinin, performed the burial rites.
The Pall-bearers were Messrs. P. Steere. J. Bulterworth, L. Whitford, R. Mclnness, H. Evans and G. Pound. Funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. F. French, of Narrogin.
