Son of Harry James Quinlan and Nora Quinlan of Chestnut Grove, Balham London, England.
Later changed to his wife Edith Maud Quinlan nee Robertson of Rossiter Road, Balham, London, England. Harry and Edith married on 28 September 1918 in St. Marys Church, Balham, London, England. William George Reeds officiated.
Commenced return to Australia on 18 December 1919 aboard HT Konigin Luise disembarking on 7 February 1920
