Son of George Oliver THOMPSON and Annie Eliza THOMPSON nee WOODLAND, 'Nestor' The Avenue, Granville, New South Wales.
Served in Egypt, Gallipoli (wounded 06 August 1915 and invalided to 1st Australian Hospital Heliopolis); rejoined his unit in France and was with the unit at cessation of hostilities.
