from Merv Knuckey family information
Born 1894 at Creswick Ballarat Vic. to parents William James Knuckey and Martha Ellen Tute. Enlisted 19th August 1915 into 48th Battln, returned to Australia on 25th March 1919. Creswick was a major Gold mining area in 1842 with as many as 60,000 people working the claims. He died age 69 in Adelaide, South Australia.
