Son of Thomas A and Ella Sullivan of 81 Elizabeth Street, Paddington, NSW.
Brother of Stanhope Augustus Sullivan who returned to Australia on 4 May 1917 having served with the 36th Battalion; Stafford Sullivan who served with the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force and discharged on 25 June 1919 as medically unfit; John Sydney Sullivan MM & Bar who returned to Australia on 19 August 1919 having served with the 53rd Battalion.
