Son of Richard O'Reilly and Caroline O'Reilly nee Hine of Dundas via Fernvale, QLD

Brother of Thomas O'Reilly who returned to Australia on 24 May 1918 having served with the 14th Field Artillery Brigade.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 January 1919 aboard HS Kanowna disembarking on 7 March 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane by boat.
