Mr William Hempel
Our Great Uncle Billy emigrated to Australia and fought in the First World War.
He was from a city called Norwich in the county of Norfolk, England.
His Brother James was also killed in 1917, five months before Billy.
Billy was a bell ringer at home and his name is on the roll of honour in two churches, also on the bell ringers roll of honour in London.
He was the youngest child in the family. His Father was from Prussia and Mother from Norwich. We think of him often and he shall always be remembered
