Private Kevin Francis Lott (Service Nos:V512297/VX141313) initially served in the ACMF (6 July to 8 August 1943) with 3 Australian Infantry Training Battalion (AITB) and was attached to 32 Infantry Training Battalion when he enlisted in the AIF on 9 August 1943. Private Lott served in Morotai and Borneo - where he was WiA (GSW) on 11 May 1945 - (4 April 1945 - 12 June 1946) with 2/24 Infantry Battalion and 2nd/13th Field Coy. Private (Sapper) Lott was attached to 2nd/13th Field Coy at Discharge on 6 December 1946.
Kevin was born in South Yarra, Victoria in 1925, fourth of six children of Walter John Lott (b1878 in Branxholme, Victoria) and Selena Ethel May Williams (b1888 in Castlemaine, Victoria). Walter (a Blacksmith) and Selina married in 1914 in Melbourne, where they settled and raised their family and Wlater worked as a Blacksmith and then as a Gas Maker.
Kevin worked in Melbourne as a Storeman and Truck Driver before enlisting in the Army in 1943. Following his Discharge, in 1950 in Sydney, NSW he married Beryl Margaet Fiddick (b1925 in Sydney, NSW) - Beryl was a Factory Worker in Sydney. Kevin and Beryl settled in Melbourne, where they raised their family and Kevin woked as a Truck Driver and Taxi Driver. Following Beryl's death in 1964, Kevin lived in Dandenong and Philip Island, where he was a Sales Representative and Manager. Kevin died in 1996.
