Add my storyBiography
Born to Irish mother Zana Belle and and Scottish father Issac Campbell, Victor was the youngest son out of his eight other siblings.
Victor was unmarried when he went to enlist, and is believed to have put up his age, indicating his eagreness and determination to join the Australian Army.
Victor was not unlike many young men in his position who desireda chance to see the world, and he was not one to allow an opportunity pass him by. He would be sent to France, a whole new world to the boy from Breakfast Creek.
Killed in action after having been in the army for just little over a year, it could be said that Victor achieved his desire. Though his life was cut off tragically short in the brutality of war, he was able to experience new places never before available to him, all the while serving his country.
