The late Mr. Bruce Oswald William Timms, who died at Prospect on February 15, was a son of Mr. Joseph Timms, the well-known railway contractor. He enlisted in 1914, and served with the 14th Battalion throughout Gallipoli, and subsequently in France, where he was badly gassed on the Somme, at which engagement he received the military medal. He suffered at frequent intervals from the effects of the gas, a recent attack proving fatal. A widow and three children survive.
