Refer separate entry under SN 416.
Originally enlisted under the name of Henry Phillip Rosewarne (13th ALH Regiment) as he was underage (although stating his age as 21). "Henry" Rosewarne was returned to Australia 2 September 1915 (suffering from VD) and he was hospitalised for several months after his return.
After gaining full fitness, he was allocated new SN 4040 and re-allocated to 14th reinforcements for the 24th Btn.
