Son of Albert William Haigh and Blanche Haigh nee Pead of Eleanor Street, Geraldton, WA

Between 2 July 1919 and 2 October 1919 Alfred studied a Commercial Business Course are Clarke College, Chancery Lane, London, England but was later reduced to 19 September 1919

Returned to Australia on 26 December 1919 aboard HT Ypiringa

During 1924c Alfred married Grace H. Turner in Perth, WA
