Brother: 2919 Sapper James ORR, 9th Field Company Enginners, returned to Australia, 15 January 1919.

According to several eye witness accounts (Red Cross file), Pte Orr was killed when serving in the front line trenches near Ypres (in fact Zillebeke/Sanctuary Wood) when the Germans shelled their position.
