William was born 5th March 1898 in Beenleigh. His parents were Frederick Johannes Noe and Auguste Wilhelmine nee Kunowski.
He was only 17 years and 7 months old when he enlisted.
He is also listed on the Beenleigh War Memorial, and the Logan Village Museum Honour as his family were Pioneers of the Waterford District.
