Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Malcolm James McWatt was mortally wounded during the attack by the 2nd Brigade at Krithia, Cape Helles on the 8 May 1915. He died from a gun shot wound to the chest, in the 88th Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps on the 10 May 1915. This was at W Beach at Cape Helles.
He was 33 years of age at the time and left a wife and four children under the age of nine in Abbortsford Victoria. He must have spent a fair bit of his life in Tasmania as his wife and children returned to Tassie soon after his death. He is remembered on the Glenora Soldiers Colonnade in Tasmania.
