Husband of Elsie DUCK of 25 Green Street, Ivanhoe, Vic.
Gilbert enlisted for WWI service but was discharged at Broadmeadows 26 September 1916 on account of family reasons - he did not proceed overseas.
DUCK.—On March 14, at his residence, 25 Green Street, Ivanhoe, Gilbert Henry, beloved husband of Elsie Duck, aged 65 years.

Gilbert enlisted with the Australia Army [service number V13571] during WW2 and was 'taken on strength' within Australia in late April 1941. By early October, it was apparent that he was medically unfit [Myocarditis] and was discharged in February 1942.
