Campbell Holmes IVORY was born in Brisbane, Queensland on 29th July, 1871

His parents were James IVORY & Harriette Jane Oakley Beatson LAURIE who married on 5th April, 1855 in Rossend Castle, Fife, Scotland

He enlisted in Brisbane on 16th November, 1915 and embarked with the 42nd Infantry Battalion, B Company on 5th June 1916 from Sydney on the HMAT Borda

Campbell returned to Australia on 18th January, 1919 on the ship Ulysses and was discharged (date unknown)

He died in Brisbane on 18th February, 1956 and is buried in the South Brisbane Cemetery
