Gordon was the second of three children of Herbert Horace Moulton (b1888 in The Dale, Beverley, WA) and Maud Mary Otway (b1894 in Beverley, WA). Herbert (a Farm Labourer) and Maud married in 1913 in Beverley WA where they settled and raised their family. The couple lived briefly at Marcel Loch, Yilgarn WA and following Herbert's death in 1948, Maud remarried and lived in Perth and Marvel Loch, Yilgarn, Kalgoorlie WA where her second husband John, was a Butcher and Prospector.
In June 1941 Gordon was a Labourer in Dale, Beverley WA when he enlisted in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W34829) with 10th Light Horse Regiment. In August 1942 he transferred as Driver to 138 Australian General Transport Coy and was posted in Noonkanbah near Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley WA in 1944. Gordon was Discharged in January 1945.
Settling in Perth WA, Gordon was working as a Storeman in 1946 when he married Ida/Ada Annie (b1920). The couple settled in Perth WA where Gordon worked as a Storeman and Chainman (Surveyor's Assistant). Gordon died in 1973 and Ida in 1984.
