Corporal Kelvin Theo Richards (Service Nos:NX124185/N81490) enlisted in October 1942 and was attached to 162 General Transport Coy when he was Discharged in January 1946. Brother Ray (Service No:NX22579) also served in WWII.

The youngest of two children, Kelvin was born in 1919 in Sydney, NSW to Arthur Henry Richards (b1890 in Booval, Ipswich, QLD) and first wife Alice Mary Elsie Caban (b1888 in Ellalong, NSW). Arthur was a Coal Miner in Sydney NSW when he enlisted in the AIF in December 1915 (Private; Service No:889). WiA in France in 1917, Arthur's leg was amputated and he was Discharged in December 1917. Arthur and Alice married in Sydney, NSW in 1916 and settled in Sydney NSW where Arthur worked as a Gatekeeper. Following Alice's death in 1944, Arthur remarried and settled in Wyong, NSW.

In February 1942 Kelvin married Joyce (Tibby) Evelyn Daly (b1920 in Lithgow, NSW) and the couple settled in Grayndler, Sydney NSW where Kelvin was a Warehouseman. Following Divorce in the 1960's Kelvin remarried - Norma Casey (b1928 in Glebe, Sydney, NSW) - Norma was a Textile Cutter. Kelvin and Norma settled in Sydney, NSW where Kelvin worked as a Warehouseman. Kelvin died in 1982 and Norma in 2020.
