Frank Herbert North
Frank Herbert North was born in Islington London then come to Australia and lived in Blacktown. His job in Australia was a ploughman he lived with his mother Harriet North.
Frank enlisted on the 14 of June 1915 at the age of 24. His mum was very worried. He embarked on HMAT"runic A5 on the 9th of August.
Frank was a brave man who wanted to fight for his country even though his mother was very sad. Frank ended up getting killed in action in the battle of Pozieres in France on the 24 of July1916
His name is recorded on the Blacktown Soldiers Memorial.
