Son of Laughlin and Elizabeth N. Barclay; husband of Louisa Mary Barclay, of 88, Carlisle ST., St. Kilda, Victoria, Australia. Father of John Michael Barclay born at Seddon on 20 October 1915

 

Although he did not declare any previous service when enlisting in World War One, There is a report of him deserting from navy service on HMAS Challenger on the 1st of May 1912.
