Edwin Frazer was the son of Francis Stephen and Sarah Jane Frazer, of Binnaway, New South Wales and husband to Victoria Ann Frazer, of Dunedoo, New South Wales.

He was returned to Australia with a gun shot wound to the foot on 22 July 1917.

His brother, 1246 Tpr. Horace Ernest Frazer 7th Australian Light Horse, died of wounds on 7 August 1916 in Kantara, Egypt, aged 27.

Another brother, 452 Pte. Kenneth Richard Frazer 36th Battalion AIF was killed in action at Passchendaele on 12 October 1917, aged 20.

Another brother, 2164 Private James Henry Percival Frazer M.M. and Bar 19th Battalion AIF was twice decorated for bravery and returned to Australian in 1919.
