Henry Heath was an original member of the 6th Light Horse, and served at Gallipoli for many months until he was evacuated with enteric. He was treated in Egypt but was sent home to Australia to recover during January 1916. He fronted up for duty again in May 1916 and was back in Egypt during August 1916. Henry was killed during the Battle of Abu Tellul in the Jordan River Valley in July 1918.
His brother, 4514 Pte. William Frederick Heath 54th Battalion AIF was killed in action at Fromelles 19 July 1916, aged 22. Another brother 2643 Private Robert Heath also served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment and returned to Australia during 1919.
