1 Jan 1919: Honoured Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), Reads: During the period September 17th to December 31st 1918, B.S.M. O'Connor has done splendid work with his battery throughout the heavy operations leading up to the cessation of hostilities. He has never failed in supplying ammunition to battery positions, often through heavy enemy shell fire, and bringing the teams out without casualties to men or animals. His coolness, initiative and devotion to duty have been a fine example to all.
