Brother of Charles Bryson Yeates who returned to Australia on 29 April 1916 having served with the 2nd Australian Remount Unit, Alfred Miles Yeates, Herbert Yeates, Gilbert de Lacey Yeates, Walter Cudmore Yeates, Kenneth Barr Yeates, Florence Yeates, Sidney Yeates and Edwin Yeates

Commenced return to Australia on 18 October 1916 aboard HT Vestulia disembarking on the 21 November 1916 at Melbourne for onward travel aboard Orsova disembarking at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane
