Archibald William Edward McGILVRAY was born in Maryborough, Victoria in 1888
His parents were James McGILVRAY & Agnes NEYLAND
He enlisted in Goulburn, NSW on 3rd October, 1916 and embarked with the 13th Infantry Battalion, 23rd reinforcements on the HMAT Beltana on 25th November, 1916
Archibald was Killed in Action in Belgium on 22nd March, 1918 and is buried in the Nieuwkerke Churchyard

His brother John Alexander McGILVRAY (SN 7045) also served during WW1 and returned to Australia in 1919
