23 Aug 1918: Honoured Distinguished Conduct Medal, The Battle of Amiens, 'At Chuignes, on 23 August, 1918, during the advance when his platoon was held up, this man crawled round the flank of an enemy post, shot two of the crew, and silenced the machine gun.
