On 4 March 1919 Frederick married Mary Ann Brosnans in the Registry Office, Weymouth, Dorset, England. Registrar Thomas C. Morris officiated.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 March 1919 aboard HT Nevasa disembarking on 26 April 1919
