Son of John Vennell and Ada Elizabeth Vennell nee Pennington of Miriam, Victoria. Brother of Clarence Roy Vennell who was killed in action on 9 October 1917 while serving with the 24th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on Menin Gate, Ypres. Panel 23.
