Thomas John TODD was born in Christchurch, New Zealand on 2nd March, 1873
His parents were James TODD & Elizabeth WYLIE who married on 1st January, 1858 in Commoncraig Farm, Dunlop, Ayr, Scotland
Before enlisting in WW1 he had previously served in New Zealand Military after the outbreak of the South African War in which he was awarded the DSO & Bar for service in the South African Campaign
