Leigh Rainsford ANLEZARK was born on 11th August, 1897 in Castle Hill, Sydney

His parents were Edward Albert ANLEZARK & Isabella Mary LUKE

He had previously served in the Senior Cadets at Haberfield, Sydney before he enlisted on 6th October, 1915 and embarked from Sydney with the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 16th Reinforcements on the HMAT Makarini on 1st April, 1916

Leigh was Killed in Action in France on 3rd November, 1916 - no known grave

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
