21 Mar 1918: | Wounded AIF WW1, Gunner, 22962, 8th Field Artillery Brigade , German Spring Offensive 1918, Gunner F.H. Rogers was wounded on 21 April 1918 near St. Omer, France, during the latter stages of Germany’s Spring Offensive (Operation Michael) on the Western Front. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to the head, arm, and hand. Following initial treatment, he was evacuated to England and admitted to the 1st Southern General Hospital (Dudley Road Section), Birmingham on 15 May 1918 for further care and recovery. |
