Next of kin given as his sister Amy Eleanor Ockenden of Kooringa, Burra, SA

Brother of Stanley Leslie Ockenden who returned to Australia on 17 July 1919 having served with the 2nd Tunnelling Company; Arthur Gordon Ockenden who returned to Australia on 11 October 1918 having served with the 7th Field Ambulance; Charles Levi Ockenden who returned to Australia on 8 September 1919 having served with the Australian Flying Corps; Harold Ockenden who was killed in action on 7 October 1917 and has no known grave, his name appears on Menin Gate, Ypres, Panel 23; Richard Allan Ockenden who returned to Australia on 16 October 1915 having served with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment
