Son of Archibald and Mary Elizabeth McMillan of 'Rosebank', Eugowra, NSW formerly of Bridge Street, Cessnock, NSW.
Brother of Robert Bruce McMillan who was killed in action on 5 October 1917 while serving with the 18th Battalion and was buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Plot XX111, Row E, Grave 3; Vivian Ernest McMillan who was killed in action on 5 June 1916 while serving with the 18th Battalion and is buried in the Brewery Orchard Cemetery, Plot 1V, Row C, Grave 14 and A. Gordon McMillan of 'Rosebank', Eugowra, NSW
