Son of Thomas and S KIRKBY, 207 Albury Road, Petersham, New South Wales.
Served in B Company, 20th Battalion Scottish Seaforth Highlanders in WWI. Enlisted in England Sept 1917, embarked Nov. 1917 and served in France in the Machine Gun Sction of the British Army. Gassed and wounded and invalided to England and appointed home service.
