Cecil Preston Hall Pitchers
2008B, Gunner,2nd F.A.B. (Late 9th Light Horse).
Cecil enlisted in WW1 15th November 1915 in the Australian Imperial Forces. After a period of 140 days in Australia, he saw service abroad for three years and 132 days. He served at Gallipolli Light Horse.
During WW2 Cecil was in the "Home Guards" and munitions at Finsbury near Hendon.
Tragically he suffered a fatal accident during the black out, being hit by a train on Semaphore road. Cecil died on 8th August 1942. He is buried in the Cheltenham Cemetery.
Cecil was survived by his wife Agnes and two sons, Barry and Wayne.
