Son of James Osborn and Eliza Oborn nee Gustafson of Sunny Corner, NSW.
Commenced return to Australia on 7 February 1919 aboard HT Lancashire disembarking on 24 March 1919 at Melbourne the onward travel to Sydney by transport.

During 1920c Roy married Mary Carmel 'Babs' Cosgrave in Bathurst, NSW
