Lance Sergeant  Palmer was 25 and the son of Edgar and Lily May Palmer. Native of Balmain, New South Wales.

He is honoured on  the war memorials at  Surbiton and in Kingston-upon-Thames Congregational  (now United  Reformed} Church.
