John Stapleton WEATHERBURN was burn on Berwick on Tweed, Northumberland, England in 1883

His parents were Alexander WEATHERBURN & Elizabeth MORRALLEE

He had previously served in the Royal Field Artillery for 12 years before coming to Australia and enlisted in Sydney on 29th August, 1914

John was Killed in Action at Gallipoli on 2nd May, 1915 - no known grave

He was 31 and the son of Alexander and Elizabeth Weatherburn of 11 Sherburn Terrace, Consett, Northumberland.

He is one of four Australian casualties of the Great War commemorated on the Berwick-upon-Tweed War Memorial.
