Leading Aircraftman Ian Edward Crook (Service No:125964) enlisted in the RAAF on 12 January 1943. He was attached to 1 Aircraft Depot when he was Discharged on 12 April 1945.

Born in 1925 in Melbourne Victoria, Ian was the youngest of two children of Cecil (Webbe) Werribee Crook (b1890 at St Arnaud in Victoria) and Kathleen May Burke (b1894 in Melbourne, Victoria). Webbe (a Farmer) and Kathleen married in Melbourne, Victoria in 1920 following Webbe's return from WWI (Driver; Service No:2178). Webbe and Kathleen settled at Bacchus marsh, Victoria where Webbe was a Farmer. In the early 1930s the family lived in Bendigo, Victoria where Webbe was a Cartage Contractor before moving to Melbourne - Webbe was a Munitions Worker and LAbourer.

Ian worked as a Clerk with the Premier's Department in Melbourne, Victoria and in 1946 married Bridget Joan Evans (b1922 in Melbourne, Victoria) in the Carmelite Church at Middle Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Ian and Bridget settled in Melbourne, Victoria where Ian was a Public Servant (Clerk). Ian died in 2003 and Bridget in 2004.
