Address at the time of enlistment was given as Riley's Hotel, Orange, NSW.

Prior to coming to Australia Patrick had served with the Dublin Fuseliers for about twelve years.

Next of kin given as Kate O'Brien of  Blarney, Ireland. It was later confirmed that Patrick was married to a M. Brown of Peter Street, Cork, Ireland but she was never made next of kin. 

Commenced return to Australia on 8 October 1918 board HT Port Darwin disembarking on  26 December 1918
