He was 31 and the son of Arthur and Eliza Leason, of Needwood Post Office, Burton-on-Trent, England.

Emigrated to Australia 1912.

Served for 3 years in the Grenadier Guards.

Burton is an alternative name for Burton upon Trent and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

He is remembered on the Anslow War Memorial; Anslow is a village and civil parish in the East Staffordshire district of Staffordshire, about three miles north-west of Burton upon Trent. The war memorial and roll of honour are to be found on a [weathered] plaque on the outside wall at the east end of the Holy Trinity Church.
