HMAS Hawes
Henry Montague Sydney Hawes was born 5 June 1900 in Ernshaw St Ryde. The family lived at Ryde Road Gladesville. He was always known as Monty and joined the Army when he was just 17yrs. His name is on the Memorial Gates of Christ Church Gladesville.
He died 4 Feb 1966 and is at Northern Suburbs Crematorium.
