Warrant Officer Arthur William Stevens (Service No:436992) initially enlisted in the Air Training Corps (Cadet; Service No:35220) with 5 Cadet Wing Perth 78 Squadron. He served in the RAAF from 5 June 1943 to 5 April 1946 and was attached to 14 Air Crew Holding Unit at Discharge. Siblings Alfred, George and Sydney also served in WWII.

Born in 1925 in Kellerberrin WA, Arthur was the sixth of seven children of Walter George Stevens (b1885 in Corpo, Victoria) and Annie McCulloch (b1893 in Cooktown, QLD). Walter (a Farmer) and Annie married in Northam in 1910 and settled at Kellerberrin where they raised their family and Walter was a Farmer.

Arthur was a Junior Clerk when he enlisted in the Air Training Corps before serving with the RAAF. In 1947 in Perth WA he married Thelma Joyce Winnett (b1926 in Mt Hawthorn, Perth, WA). Arthur and Thelma settled in Perth WA where Arthur was a Trainee before becoming a Clerk. Thelma died in 2005 and Arthur in 2012.
