Biography

Charles was single, and  he was  living  in  Melbourne  in  1907  around  the  time of his father's death.  He was the youngest of  10 children of James and Mary Ann Patten (nee Fletcher) who had arrived in Australia from Ireland in 1855 and settled in Noarlaunga, South Australia.  His next of kin was listed as his next older brother, Thomas.
